ROB TIPTON
After working seven years as editor and ghostwriter for a golf publication centered around the PGA Tour, Rob spent three years on Hilton Head Island as a marketing consultant with Mark Brown & Associates which afforded him the opportunity to work on such accounts as The Golf Club at Indigo Run, Haig Point, Belfair, and renowned architect Steve Smyers.
Moving from Hilton Head to Atlanta, Rob went to work for U.S. Kids Golf when the company first
opened their doors, providing his creative talents to build the
brand and image of the trail-blazing industry leader in kids golf. As
Creative Director for the Atlanta-based company, Rob was responsible
for the creation of all advertising and sales collateral including
writing and directing U.S. Kids Golf’s television commercials which air
nationally on The Golf Channel and ESPN.
In 2004, Rob returned to Hilton Head Island where he formed Boomkin Golf—a marketing / design agency providing creative services and solutions to the golf industry including golf resorts, upscale private and daily fee clubs golf and resort properties as well as golf businesses, software and equipment manufactures.
Rob played golf for the University of Alabama while earning his degree
in Computer Based Management Systems. He also served as assistant coach
before working as an assistant pro at both private and daily-fee
facilities.
